Truly good friends are blessings in life. And I was truly blessed by your friendship. I think of you often. I miss your sense of humor and the fact that you were always there for Dana and I. Randy and I had a summer romance after my junior year. He was such a special guy! Kind and caring through and through. I was heartbroken at the news that he had died and even sadder that I had not known he was in Austin. I wish I could have told him how much he meant to me.
You will never find a better man than Randy Smith. Randy seemed lightyears ahead of us when it came to maturity and common sense. He was kind, warm, funny, and had this real gentleness about him that set him apart. He was a good and loyal friend, always told the truth, and CARED about other people. We went hunting together back in the early 1990s, and it was like we'd never really been apart. Randy is a terrible loss.
