Some people are put on this earth to entertain the rest of us. Donnie Mo was one of the funniest guys I've ever known. I hated to hear the news. You will be missed and never forgotten.

Some of the saddest news I've gotten in quite a while was of Donnie's passing.  We were once so very close, and spent so much time together, and then we almost never saw each other again.  After college, we went on one final road trip (in 1982) , and that would be the last time I ever saw Donnie in the flesh.  Donnie was very funny, but he was even more passionate about life, saw himself as a sort of poet, and had a lot more depth to him than I think most people realized.  I have no idea what happened to him, only that I feel like a part of me also died with him.  And I'm sure it's the same for his other close friends, like Larry Rice and Mike Pugh.  Now that I'm in my 50s, I really, really miss him.

I learned of Don's passing while on the phone with Maurice Enderle earlier this year. I had asked Maurice previously on another call if he had ever heard from anyone that had heard from Donny. The phone call from Maurice was strange, as he began by giving names of former Sharpstown classmates and it wasn't until he got to Mike Hollingsworth that I knew these might be names of people in our class that had passed away. The last name he read to me was Donald Robert Morrison (Donny Mo). My eyes began to tear and my heart truly ached. I didn't know until today you could write a note to or about someone from the class of '75.

My last conversation with Donny was over 10 years ago when he was supposed to come up to a party of mine in Plano, Tx. I'm ashamed to say I never called him back to see why he never showed. I am even more ashamed to have given up on friendship of a guy I really loved.

Donny was the funniest guy I ever knew. As friends in highschool and later as roomates at Stephen F. Austin, I can't remember a time he wasn't trying to make me or someone laugh....he too loved to laugh at his own jokes.....which would actually make me laugh even harder because he had the greatest laugh expressions.

As a member of the Sexually Frustrated "the SF's" at SHS he later became a mans man after his first year in college. By the time we began living together he had mastered what every newly hormonal boy tried to glean from an illegal subscription from Playboy. As a Bartender in college and after, he reminded me of Brian Flanagan in the movie Cocktail, oh yeah Tom Cruise was in it too. The only difference, Donny was smarter, better looking, funnier and would never hurt a friend.

I miss you Don
